Pink Blush Never Ceases To Please

I apologize for being MIA. Being a mom is my life’s joy and it has been taking up 99.9% of my time. I’ve actually been posting more videos lately than writing on my blog. So make sure you follow me on YouTube or even Instagram to keep up with my life, plus Size fashion, and mom-related content.

As you may or may not know, I am a brand ambassador for Pink Blush. I love their variety: plus Size Maternity, regular plus size, straight size maternity, and regular straight sizes. Everyone can find something. It’s a one stop shop! And a lot of their styles are carried in maternity and non-maternity.

This first piece has gotten so many compliments every time I wear it! This pink and blue floral maxi screams summer! It’s so easy to wear. You could wear it as a beach coverup or even dress it up with some accessories and wear it to a nice dinner. I love the versatility of this dress and the print is bold and gorgeous. The material is light and airy so you will be cool and comfortable in the heat!

This teal maxi is such a great color! For me, it really brings out my eye color. It would look so pretty on darker skin tones as well. You could pair it with a denim vest like I did or even throw a bomber jacket over it when the weather gets a little cooler. Again, light material and super comfortable to wear!

The last dress has flirty written all over it! The little ruffle on the bottom is so cute and fun. The little sleeve will keep you covered if you’re more modest or concerned about hiding your arms. This dress is slinky and a little more form fitting than the others, so keep that in mind when ordering.

I cannot day enough about Pink Blush as a company. They have been amazing to work with, their clothes never disappoint, and they have some good sales as well! So keep an eye on their site for deals!

Wide Calf Socks

I know I’ve been MIA for months from my blog and I wholeheartedly apologize for that. I’ve been concentrating mainly on my new baby and when I have had time, I’ve been uploading on my YouTube channel. If you haven’t already, head over there and be sure to follow me since I’ve been more active there: My YouTube Channel

Anyway! A company looking to be size inclusive and spread body positivity contacted me to share some of their items with you and it’s one I never would have even thought to look for- SOCKS! It is true, when it comes to socks and shoes, plus size women have a lot less options due to our wide calves.

Sock It To Me not only carries wide calf socks that go up to approximately 21″ widths, but they also have stretch-it technology that allows the socks to stretch without losing the design! This is a big deal for plus size women! How many times have you tried on socks or leggings or anything that is supposed to stretch, and as soon as you put it on, the design is distorted and completely lost? It’s happened to me several times!

Their socks are so cute. They range from a little more subtle to completely bright and fun designs! I love wearing crazy socks so I chose some of the more vibrant options: starry night, tacosaurus, and unicorns. The socks are super soft and comfortable. You can wear them lounging around the house in pajamas or jazz up an outfit with them when you’re feeling playful!

I love supporting companies that are size inclusive and want to promote body positivity! I hope you guys will check out Sock It To Me and support them too!!

Pink Blush Maternity

This is my last plus size maternity clothing blog post, considering I have already given birth to my son (there will be future posts regarding that). I took these pictures prior to giving birth but the last month has been so crazy that I didn’t get a chance to post this. I apologize for that, but if you’ve ever been in your last weeks of pregnancy and the first few weeks of taking care of a newborn, I’m sure you can understand.

Pink Blush carries straight sizes, plus sizes, straight size maternity, and plus size maternity. I’d say I’m sometimes on the higher end of a 3X, most definitely when it comes to dresses, and their size 3X fits me perfectly. They have great functional and trendy pieces regardless of your size.

This first dress is perfect for the winter weather. You could add a scarf, leggings or tights, and booties for a cute cool weather look. The floral is more of a fall/winter pattern because of the pretty burgundy background. It’s actually one of my favorite colors to wear right now. I did switch out the belt for one of my own because the belt that came with the dress was a little snug on me. But both belts are very similar in color. The fabric is soft and comfy. This dress would be a great staple in anyone’s closet!

I’ve already worn this hoodie a bunch of times because I love it so much! You can easily pair or with leggings or jeans for a casual look. The lace detail on top gives it a little interest while still allowing you the comfort of a hoodie. The length of this is really nice, even for post-pregnancy when you’re not back to your pre-pregnancy body. I love the blue color. I’d highly recommend this piece!

The last item is this long cardigan with sequin elbow patches. I’m a huge fan of adding some sparkle to an outfit. This is an unexpected way to throw some shine into your look. This cardigan gives serious winter comfort vibes while still being chic. This sweater is so comfortable and can be worn over a dress or with leggings/jeans and a tank top. Obviously, open front cardigans aren’t specific to maternity wear. So this is something you can wear pregnant or not. I really liked buying pieces while pregnant that I’d still be able to wear afterwards.

Horizontal Stripes? Yes Please!

I have heard that plus sized women shouldn’t wear horizontal stripes because it makes you look wider. False! I have honestly never found this to be true. In my experience, it can accentuate your curves in a good way!

This dress from JCPenney is a Fall staple! The main color is a beautiful burgundy with the stripe being a blush pink. These are two very popular colors for Fall. The 3/4 length sleeves will keep you warm in the Fall weather, but it would be easy to pair with a leather or jean jacket when it gets colder. The fit is great, especially considering it’s part of Arizon’s “Junior Plus” Line. Usually Jr Plus tends to run small, but I have not found that to be true at JCPenney. The material is very comfortable and easy to wear.

I paired this dress with a pair of black maternity leggings from Motherhood Maternity and black booties from ASOS.

A Dash of Sparkle

Maybe it’s because I’m into simplicity being 34 weeks pregnant, but this has to be one of my favorite looks I’ve put together this Fall. The top is a pretty blush pink cold shoulder sweater. It’s deceptively warm so don’t let the light color fool you. The cut is perfect for me. I got this in a size 3X from JCPenney on sale and I plan on wearing it well through the winter!

I paired the shirt with these cropped destructed jeans from Torrid. These are in a size 26 to accommodate my growing baby belly. I also purchased these during a clearance sale a couple months ago. They feature a four button closure, which seems to be working better for me through my pregnancy than zippers have been.

The shoes are breathtaking!!! I had been eyeing this pair from ASOS for about a month and finally decided to purchase them. They are a size 11W and fit pretty well even with my slightly swollen feet. I like that they slip on rather than tie. I’m a huge fan of sparkly things and I think it’s a way to add interest to a simple outfit, especially when it’s somewhere unexpected like on your feet!

Fall Plus Size Maternity Necessities

When I picked my most recent items from Pink Blush, I really aimed to give my readers a variety of items that would be perfect for Fall. I wanted to show you the diverse options available as well as give you some style inspiration for the slightly cooler weather.

The first item is a long sleeve gray shirt with black lace on the shoulders and collar. The lace makes this shirt dressy enough to wear to work, but it is soft and will keep you comfy and warm in the cool weather. My only issue with this piece was the length, so I did tuck the bottom up to give me a better overall proportion. I paired this shirt with a pair of burgundy Ponte pants and scrappy black sandals.

The second item was a gorgeous floral dress. I actually wore this for my baby shower and got so many compliments on it! The hemline is slightly higher in the front and longer in the back, but the front hits about two inches below my knee. There is a flattering overlapping neckline to emphasize the chest and an elastic high waist to show off your curves. I tied the sash in a bow to the left side to give the look some a-symmetry. Although this is short sleeves, the colors of the floral print are Fall inspired. The navy blue and orange give this dress an Autumn flair.

The last item is a Hospital robe. I don’t feel like any mom-to-be wants to spend her whole Hospital stay in a boring medical gown. This robe is perfect for being comfortable, looking chic, and still having the freedom to be nursing-friendly. The material is very soft and light. The white lace is a nice touch to make you still feel like you haven’t lost your fashion sense. It’s always my opinion that when you look good, you feel good. I’m definitely packing this in my hospital bag!

It’s Finally Fall!

Cooler Fall weather is finally here and I could not be happier! Not only is it my favorite time of year but it means I can break out some cute cozy clothes. It’s also great, being almost 30 weeks pregnant, that I won’t be sweating in the summer heat anymore!

This look is early Fall perfection. This gray Rue 21 hoodie has beautiful rose embroidery on the hood. Embroidery and florals are still on trend going into the Fall. The sweatshirt is cropped and the neckline has an exaggerated overlap. I wore a plain white tank underneath just to give myself some extra length but you could definitely pair it with a pair of high waisted jeans. The clutch is also from Rue 21. It’s black with some simple silver studs, making it perfect to use with almost any outfit.

The capri distressed jeans and sandals are both from Torrid. I believe the jeans are Boyfriend cut, which fit me really well. I love that the distressing isn’t too overwhelming but still add to the overall style of the look. My only complaint is that the rolled cuff is not sewn, so when I wash these jeans I have to re-roll them before putting them on. But they are extremely comfortable and cute, so I can deal with it!

Adore Me Review

If you’ve never heard of Adore Me, you are missing out on some fantastic things! They carry sizes small-4X in swimwear, lingerie, bras, panties, activewear, loungewear/sleepwear, and now beauty too! They do have a subscription VIP option where you get something every month, usually for a discounted rate, but it’s not a requirement. You can always choose the pay-as-you-go option and purchase pieces whenever you’d like. If you sign up for their emails, they notify you of sales quite often!

To date I’ve tried their bras, underwear, sleepwear, and activewear and have yet to be disappointed. The quality is great and once you know your proper size, the fit is usually perfect as well. I will say that you should consult their size chart before ordering because I do have to size up in their pants and underwear. The bras have been true to size in my experience though. They even have nursing bras!

I will include a few pictures from my current order from Adore Me. They did send me these pieces for advertisement purposes but the opinions are my own and this is not a sponsored post. I’ll link all the items I received below as well as my video reviewing each piece in case you’re interested!

Boardwalk Style

My husband, Stephen, and I are on vacation this week and I’ve been looking forward to it all summer! We tend to vacation in late August or September due to the cheaper rates and less crowds. I’m going to try to share as many new outfits with you as possible on this beach trip.

Tonight we took a trip to the boardwalk just to do some walking, which is good for my fellow pregnant ladies, to play mini golf, get some dinner, and then ice cream. This outfit was comfortable and stylish for an evening on the boardwalk. The Capri jeans and black sandals are both from Torrid. The black sandals were bought last year on clearance and still have a ton of wear left. The jeans are new. I bought them during a recent 50% off clearance sale. They’re more of a dark wash and have distressing in the thigh/knee area. I believe they are their skinny jean fit, which happens to fit my pregnant belly perfectly. Instead of a zipper, they have a four button closure, which in my opinion makes them more roomy and comfortable.

The shirt is from Forever 21. You may have seen it in a YouTube Inside the Dressing Room of mine from about a month or so ago. I’m in love with the mesh and Lace sleeves. It gives this otherwise casual shirt a little something extra. The rose graphic is a pretty blush color, which was perfect to pair with this clutch from Stitch Fix and my sunnies from Rue 21. Blush is still in style and I’m incorporating it more and more into my wardrobe.

The Kate Middington Skirt

I am so in love with this skirt from Society+. The cut would be gorgeous on a variety of different body types. The length is perfect. It hits about mid-calf on me and I’m about 5’7″. I love that the pleats give the skirt a little bit of volume without it being too overwhelming.

The quality is tremendous. There is a side zipper and pockets! The skirt comes in a variety of different colors, so you can pick the one that best fits your style.

I paired the skirt with a black bodysuit from JCPenney and black pointed toe flats from Lane Bryant. I love that this look has a slightly vintage feel with a modern flair of the criss cross bodysuit. It’s appropriate for the office but you could also dress it down with a chambray shirt or a crop top. This is definitely a versatile piece that would be a great addition to anyone’s closet.
